This was one of those projects where the scope creeped, a lot! The initial brief was straight forward. Draw a boer riding a rhino, holding a gun. Easy. Not the case. There was a whole back story to the boer riding the rhino, which I have yet to hear. In the end, I was able to save parts of the original illustration, with some comic bastardization thrown into the mix.
Soekie from StudioVW will be using this illustration on various applications. Can’t wait to see what she does with it 🙂
